You will be notified in advance of any field trips we plan. District policy states that we have to have money for field trips at least 2 weeks before the actual trip- we can not accept money the day of the trip. We have to pay for trips in advance, and the school doesn't have any extra money to go ahead and pay for us.
We always need chaperones for trips; however, space is usually limited on buses. It is important to return the field trip form quickly, as chaperones are arranged on a first come-first served basis. If you plan to chaperone any trips at all, you must complete a form for a background check and pay the $26 fee charged by SLED. This has to be done year to year, so if you had one done last year, you will have to submit a new form for this school year. We have to list chaperones on the form we submit to the District Office for our field trips to be approved; therefore, we need to know at the beginning of the year if you plan to chaperone any trips. We submit our forms early in the year to be sure that buses are available for our trips. If you have any questions concerning this policy, please call the school office at 429-1737.
