Reading Log
Students must read each night, beginning with 15 minutes and eventually working their way up to at least 30 minutes. These minutes are recorded on a reading log calendar. Students can earn Pizza Hut BookIt certificates for a free personal pan pizza from October through March!

Writing and Spelling

Students in kindergarten and first grade have to learn how to read and spell many words!
Some of those words are known by different names:
Word Wall Words, Sight Words, Lightning Words, etc.
These are words that students should learn to recognize by sight very quickly- some follow spelling patterns, some have tricky parts that have to be learned by heart.
